December 2016 was a busy and exciting month, leading up to Christmas with several commissioned pieces to complete ad also the birthday of my son Thomas who was 31 on Christmas Day and the First Christmas and 1st Birthday on Boxing Day of our beautiful new grandaughter Georgia Rose. My daughter Christina and I have many parallels in our lives and having babies at Christmas is just one!
I was approached by Ella last autumn who wanted to present a piece to her new husband, Jamie. She wanted to give to him the words from Ecclesiastes 4 v 9-12 which speaks about two being better than one and that a cord of three strands is not quickly broken. The third strand being God.
Ella and I met up a couple of times to discuss what she felt she would like and the parts of this message which she felt were important to her and Jamie’s commitment to each other.
The following images are the piece she presented to him on Christmas day. Ella sent me a quote on Christmas Day. It simply said ‘He cried. So did I.’
